Flash-frozen fish offers fresh alternative

BOULDER – Off the coast of southeast Alaska in July, 30 to 40 hook-and-line fishermen work their tails off to catch enough salmon to support a year’s worth of business.

A mere two months in the summer is all the time the contractors get to supply Lars Larson Alaskan Trophy Salmon with fresh fish.

“We literally work ’round the clock sometimes during fishing season. It’s a very hard time,” Larson says.
