Greeley bags significant trophy in ongoing hunt for retail growth
GREELEY– Hunting retail dollars for the past decade, the city of Greeley appears to be gathering a bounty.
The latest prize came in early July, when Joseph Freed & Associates, a Chicago real estate developer, disclosed plans for a 140,000-square-foot shopping center at the intersection of U.S. 34 Bypass and 47th Avenue. The company plans to have space available for retailers in first quarter 2005, and the stores will open on an individual basis.
Greeley Commons has signed contracts with Bed Bath & Beyond, Michael?s Arts & Crafts Store, and Petco. Company officials confirm interest from other retailers.
