Google searches 3.5 billion pages in 3 seconds

Almost every day, Google amazes me.

I find it totally amazing that I can search through an index of almost three and one-half billion Web pages in about three seconds … and often find what I’m looking for in just one or two searches. In fact, it’s far quicker to search those three and one-half billion Web pages for some vague search term than it is to search my hard drive for a file.

Here’s an example of just how quick and efficient Google can be.
