Building-supply chain plans store in Loveland
LOVELAND – 84 Lumber, a national chain of building supply stores, has acquired an 8.24-acre lot in east Loveland for a future retail outlet.
The Pennsylvania-based retailer, which is the largest privately owned building -supply business in the country, paid $780,614 for land along Denver Avenue, about one-half mile south of the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
The company, which has two other locations in Colorado, hopes to be open by April. According to building permit applications filed with the city of Fort Collins, 84 Lumber wants to build multiple structures. The main store would be 23,000 square feet.
