25 years later, Boulder’s home-brew idea an industry that’s still growing

This is what I call smart thinking — deciding to ride RTD to (and especially from) the Great American Beer Festival.

As a one-time home-brewer who regretfully dismantled my home beer and mead-making operations, I decided the 25th anniversary of the Boulder-based Association of Brewers was a perfect time to reacquaint myself with the face of the craft-beer industry.

And you know what? Although admittedly a more serious business today than when I first made my kitchen floor into a gooey, shoe-sticking mess after the boiling pot of malt and hops spilled over, this industry is still very much about having fun.
