Tom Clark, now in charge of the Metro Denver Network, led the Boulder Chamber, with Clif Harald, now with Sun Microsystems, directing the Boulder Development Commission — soon to be renamed the Boulder Economic Council.
The Development Commission announced it was changing its name, dropping “development” and shifting its mission to “retention” from “recruitment.”
Colorado’s economy was exceptionally strong, and the big concern was how to even find an employee during an unprecedented shortage of labor.
Both commercial and residential Realtors were looking to the east county for more growth — a lot more growth. And it was coming fast.
