Local jobless rates improve in April

Modest strides have been made in terms of unemployment in northern Colorado over the past month.

Jobless rates for the month of April in the Fort Collins-Loveland area, as well as in Greeley, declined slightly since March.

The Fort Collins-Loveland area reported 5.4 percent unemployment for April, down from 5.6 percent in March, but up from 5 percent in April 2002. Unemployment in Greeley was down to 6.7 percent in April, from 6.9 percent in March, but up from 5.8 percent in April 2002.
