PVH, doctors planning alliance

FORT COLLINS — Poudre Valley Health Systems and United Physicians of Northern Colorado have plans to pool resources to form a new company — United Medical Alliance LLC — both sides have confirmed.

The new entity is basically a separation of the two aspects of United Physicians. United Medical will take over third-party administrative duties and will promote the benefits of self-insurance. United Physicians will remain intact as an independent physicians group.
