Norton gets presidential nod from UNC Board

GREELEY — The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees selected Kay Norton as the lone finalist for filling the university’s president position, to be vacated by Hank Brown in June. The Board’s final decision is not expected before May 21, after Norton participates in several campus and community forums and meets with the Faculty Senate.

Norton is UNC’s vice president for university affairs, general counsel and secretary to the Board of Trustees. She was appointed to UNC’s Board of Trustees by then-governor Roy Romer in 1995. Before joining UNC, Norton was vice president for legal and government affairs for ConAgra…
