Real Estate: ‘Dr. Dirt’ describes real estate yo-yo ride

If commercial real estate brokers feel like they’ve been on a yo-yo ride for the past decade, well & it’s because they have.

But nobody has been able to describe that ride any better than Glenn Mueller, a developer turned academic who spoke at Colorado State University’s College of Business two weeks ago. (His students, enamored by Mueller’s mix of builder-developer roots and a tweedy, scholarly countenance, refer to him as “Doctor Dirt.”)

A professor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, he has put numbers to trends that most real estate brokers ride out by the seats of their pants.
