Miner and Miner finds gold in utility sales

Topping this issue’s list of the highest-selling software companies in Northern Colorado is Miner and Miner Consulting Engineers Inc., a Windsor-based firm with sales around the world.

The company, founded in 1946, reported total revenues of $8.3 million in 2000, a $3.1 million increase over the previous year. Miner and Miner sells software to electrical, gas and water/wastewater utilities.

Jeff Meyers, company president, said Miner and Miner’s success can be attributed to deregulation in the utility industry worldwide, which has resulted in increased competition and a need to automate their operations.
