Bolder Boulder, CU cross country partner; donations to benefit team

BOULDER ? The Bolder Boulder is teaming up with the University of Colorado’s cross country team this year. Participants in the popular race will have the option of donating a dollar or more to the teams.

CU’s teams have shown their athletic might in recent years, winning both national titles and honors in the sport. Last fall, the women’s team won the university’s first national title. CU has won 12 out of 20 men’s and women’s conference team titles in the last 10 years.

CU cross country coach Mark Wetmore hopes donations through the Bolder Boulder will eventually become one of the major sources of funding for the team.
