BOULDER — Race officials have announced the Race to Stop Global Warming 5k in Denver has signed on as an official qualifier for the Bolder Boulder.
The Run to Stop Global Warming will be held on April 8 in Denver and will benefit the Green House Network. The Green House Network’s mission is to “create a clean energy future that can stop global climate change by uniting business, government and citizens.”
The race will begin at 9 a.m. on the downtown Denver 16th Street Mall between Welton and Glenarm streets. There will be a post race party with food, entertainment and an “energy fair” with information about how we can all help to stop Global Warming. Register online for the race at www.active.com. For more information about the race call (303) 430-2969.
The Race to Stop Global Warming will supply the Bolder Boulder with a list of participant names and finish times after their event.
Bolder Boulder officials then convert the 5k finish times into equivalent 10k times and use the converted time as proof for entry into one of the top 17 waves in the 23rd Memorial Day Bolder Boulder on May 28.
