Retail growth no surprise to developer Macy

LONGMONT – Twenty or 30 years ago, if you had to ask a Longmont resident which side of town they thought was the most promising for becoming the main retail center – “north side or south side” – their answer probably would have surprised most.

“Nobody knew what it was going to be 30 years ago,´ said Don Macy, owner of Macy Development Corp. “Once you establish a mall the retail fills in around it.”
