Boulder, county to help Nepal reduce waste
The city of Boulder and Boulder County are taking the Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) program to Kathmandu.
The expansion of the program is part of a Colorado-Nepal environmental exchange led by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (COEDIT). In May, COEDIT received a $139,350 grant from the Council of State Governments (CSG) to oversee a statewide partnership geared to improving environmental policies and practices in Nepal.
CSG administers the State Environmental Initiative program for the United States-Asia Environmental Partnership (USAEP), a group that sponsors U.S. initiatives that promote pollution prevention in the Asia/Pacific region.
