The five largest Chambers of Commerce in Boulder County offer many services to new, relocating or expanding businesses. Here is a brief look at some of their numerous services.

As Mental Health Awareness Month unfolds in Colorado, it serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to prioritize mental well-being.

Aside from offering networking opportunities, educational programs and business advocacy, the Boulder Chamber of Commerce provides relocating businesses with informational packets about the area. Packets include such things as the demographics, features of the city and the commercial real estate brokers in the area.

The Boulder Chamber, which has more than 2,200 members, also provides small-business development services for start-up companies, as well as contacts for the company depending on their situation and needs.

Membership has a base fee of $240 and goes up to $2,000 for companies within the city of Boulder. Fees are based on the number of employees at the business. For members outside of the city, there is a flat fee of $240.

Broomfield

The Broomfield Chamber of Commerce’s services include promotions, networking, advocacy, member discounts, business and educational programming and free seminars.

For new businesses, the Broomfield Chamber promotes their grand openings by hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Broomfield Chamber also works in partnership with the Economic Development Corp. to provide relocating businesses with the information they need. This includes demographics, information about office, retail and industrial land available in the area and an updated inventory of information about the buildings to satisfy certain needs.

Lafayette

The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of services to its 280 members, including an annual business directory, leadership programs, business breakfasts and member discounts.

The Lafayette Chamber provides most of its services to members; however, it does provide information for relocating and new businesses. This includes an informational relocation packet with demographics, population and city rules and regulations.

The Lafayette Chamber also provides free business advice from Front Range Community College counselors, a directory of current members, as well as an extensive informational Web site (http://chamber.lafayette.co.us.)

Longmont

The Longmont Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of services from pro-business advocacy to leadership development. Services also include a workers’ compensation program and safety group with classes and networking socials with educational seminars.

Although the Longmont Chamber mainly caters to its 745 members, there is a small-business development center that offers economic and community information to relocating and businesses getting started.

They stress business promotion for their members through their annual directory, which reaches more than 30,000 people, making it the most well distributed directory among the area chambers. They also help promote the city by putting on the Taste of Longmont, which attracted 1,700 people this year.

Louisville

The Louisville Chamber of Commerce provides useful information to relocating or new businesses in the area through an informational packet that includes demographic and economic information. The Chamber also has skilled people available to answer any questions regarding information in the packet.

Additionally, the Louisville Chamber provides counseling services, with the first session free, at Front Range Community College’s Small Business Development Center.

Other services include an annual directory with a list of current members and general information about the community, networking opportunities through business after-hours events, free seminars, business and educational programming and member discounts.

The Louisville Chamber showcases the city each year by putting on the Parade of Lights and the Taste of Louisville. These events give chamber members an opportunity to learn more about the city.
