Micro Motion’s growth steady from flow meter technology

BOULDER — Micro Motion Inc., a 22-year-old Boulder-based company is among the Business Report’s top 10 public companies with the highest net income, based on parent company Emerson Electric Co.’s 1998 net income of $1.2 billion.

The company is a world leader in flow measurement technology and a developer of the Coriolis-based flow measurement products and solutions including sensors, transmitters, systems and services. Micro Motion had total sales of $220 million last year, said spokeswoman Kathleen Bee. Micro Motion’s parent company, Emerson Electric, based in St. Louis, Mo., reported revenues of $14 billion last year.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties.
