Investigate export credit insurance

Boulder County companies looking for a program that offers both a marketing edge and risk protection for international transactions may want to check out export credit insurance.

Benefits include protection against political and commercial risks that can result in nonpayment of foreign invoices, use of overseas accounts receivables to obtain financing, and the ability to extend more competitive credit terms to buyers.

“A client wants a good program to go beyond what it can do on its own,” says Brent Hoots, a trade specialist, who runs Structured Trade Associates in Niwot.
