The Northern Colorado Business Report, published in Wyoming as The Business Report, is opening an office in Cheyenne.

The office in the old J.C. Penney building at 200 W. 17th St. – known as The Financial Center – will serve as a base for Wyoming Bureau reporter Dennis E. Curran, as well as for sales representatives and others from the newspaper’s main office in Fort Collins.

Business Report co-publisher Jeff Nuttall said the new office should be operational by the first week of June.

Cheyenne businesses, news sources and advertising clients can now reach The Business Report using a Cheyenne telephone number (307) 638-3200, rather than dialing the newspaper’s 800 number. The calls will roll over to Fort Collins if the Cheyenne facility is unstaffed at any given time.

“While the office will be staffed only part-time initially, it does signify our increasing commitment to Cheyenne and gives us a valuable presence in the heart of the Cheyenne business district,” Nuttall said.

The Financial Center’s new owner, Terrell Industries LLC, plans to convert the third floor of the building to penthouse offices. The Business Report will be on the ground floor.

The building is named currently for its major tenant, Dain Bosworth.
