AT&T seeks applicants for free cellular service
FORT COLLINS – AT&T Wireless Services is accepting applications for its Cellular for the Community program.
The five-year-old program currently provides free cellular phones and unlimited local air time to 86 Colorado nonprofit organizations. AT&T Wireless will award 20 to 25 phones with local air time for the 1997-98 grant period.
To qualify, organizations must submit a detailed proposal describing how a cellular phone would help them, along with proof of their nonprofit status.Based on typical usage, the cellular phone and air time being awarded is valued at approximately $6,000 per grant, making the total 1996 donation by AT&T Wireless worth an…
