NetApp finalizes $870M acquisition of SolidFire
California data management firm NetApp announced this week that it has closed its $870 million acquisition of Boulder-based flash-storage provider SolidFire.
Forbes magazine reports that SolidFire “will remain a separate entity within the larger NetApp” and that it will keep its own branding for the foreseeable future.
NetApp had previously stated that SolidFire CEO and founder David Wright would continue to lead the SolidFire product line once the deal closed, which was originally slated to occur this spring.
