NBH Bank eyes entry into Boulder market

BOULDER — NBH Bank plans to enter the Boulder market, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

NBH Bank, a subsidiary of Greenwood Village-based National Bank Holdings Corp. (NYSE: NBHC), operates 56 Community Banks of Colorado branches in Colorado. It also operates Bank Midwest in Kansas and Missouri and Hillcrest Bank in Texas.

Community Banks of Colorado has six branches in Northern Colorado — two in Fort Collins, two in Greeley, and one in Windsor and Platteville.

The documents indicate that Brian Lilly, chief of mergers and acquisitions and strategy, and Zsolt Bessko, chief administrative officer and general counsel, are heading the expansion in Boulder. Neither could be reached Friday for comment.
