Developers host groundbreaking for hotels, offices at 28th & Canyon
BOULDER — An official groundbreaking was held Tuesday morning for a pair of hotels that will have 375 rooms between them and an office building that is being constructed at the northwest corner of 28th Street and Canyon Boulevard in Boulder.
Denver-based NAI Shames Makovsky is partnering with Boulder developer Lou DellaCava’s LJD Enterprises on redevelopment of the site of the former Golden Buff hotel and the former Eads Newsstand.
In addition to Shames Makovsky building a 203-room Embassy Suites and a 172-room Hilton Garden Inn, DellaCava is building a 42,000-square-foot office building there.
