California firm Exadel acquires Boulder-based Amadeus Consulting

BOULDER – Amadeus Consulting, a Boulder provider of custom software development services founded by Lisa Calkins and John Basso in 1994, has been acquired by Walnut Creek, Calif.-based software-engineering firm Exadel.

The two companies announced the merger Wednesday morning, though terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Calkins, the CEO at Amadeus, said her company was seeking to grow at a faster pace and had been searching for a partner for over a year that could help make that happen.

While Exadel has its headquarters in California, most of its developers are based in eastern European countries like Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Calkins…
