Banner Health partners with radiologists for services in NoCo

GREELEY — Phoenix-based Banner Health is partnering with Englewood-based Radiology Imaging Associates, which will provide physicians to read and interpret medical images for patients at Banner’s hospitals and clinics in Northern Colorado.

Ten physicians, employed by Radiology Imaging Associates, began work Thursday at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and Banner Medical Group clinics. In December, the group will expand services to include McKee Medical Center in Loveland and Banner Fort Collins Medical Center in Fort Collins.

The physicians also will provide minimally invasive procedures including arterial stent placement, varicocele embolization and prostate artery embolization.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

“Rather than have one physician read and interpret medical images for any number of illnesses or injuries, RIA physicians focus on specialty areas,” said Wendy Sparks, chief operating officer at North Colorado Medical Center. “For example, the physicians who interpret mammograms are very specialized in that field to provide the highest level of service.”

Banner Health is a nonprofit health-care system that owns and operates 28 acute-care hospitals. The RAI group partners with hospitals in Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Nebraska.
