Dohn breaks ground on addition to independent-living facility in Windsor

WINDSOR — Fort Collins-based Dohn Construction has begun construction on a 4,300-square-foot addition to the Water Valley Senior Living Resort in Windsor.

The addition will include a chapel and expansion of the dining room.

The property, at 805 Compassion Drive, is owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society.

“This will be a beautiful addition to their facility, and it is well integrated into the current design,” said Rick Newman, a Dohn Construction project manager.

Dohn Construction field superintendent Nick Willman said the project is a team effort between Dohn, the resort’s residents and the administration. Dohn Construction completed the new construction of the resort in 2008, as well as various additions and renovations to Good Samaritan Society communities in the area.

Dohn Construction is working on the new construction of the Good Samaritan Villas, a condominium village in Windsor, and a 20,000-square-foot renovation of the Loveland Good Samaritan Village in Loveland.
