Broomfield affordable-housing project breaks ground

BROOMFIELD — California developer Highridge Costa Housing Partners LLC has broken ground on Northwest Apartments, a community of 50 affordable workforce rental homes for families earning 30% to 60% of the city’s area median income.

The company expects the project to be complete by next fall.

“These new rental homes for families at the Northwest Apartments are a great example of working closely with a leading land developer, the Colorado Housing Finance Authority, future neighbors and local leaders to bring much-needed affordable, safe and attractive housing to the great state of Colorado,” Highridge Costa president Moe Mohanna said in a prepared statement.
