Owner of Copper Mountain, Eldora buys Canadian resort

PARK CITY, Utah — Powdr Corp., the Utah-based resort firm that owns Colorado ski areas Eldora and Copper Mountain, announced this week the purchase SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia, the company’s first in Canada. 

“SilverStar is a world-class destination that fits well with who Powdr is, what our properties are—community favorites—and our commitment to protecting and enhancing the authentic year-round adventure experience for generations to come,” Powdr co-president Justin Sibley said in a prepared statement. “The resort team is impressive and they have an incredibly strong relationship with the community, which we hope to build upon.”

In addition to its Utah headquarters, Powdr has employees and offices in Louisville.
