Boston-area fro-yo brand Yasso moving HQ to Boulder
BOULDER — Yasso Inc., maker of Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt bars, will move its headquarters 2,000 miles to the west from the firm’s current home in Quincy, Massachusetts, to a new space in downtown Boulder.
“Boulder is a great hub for the better-for-you food industry,” Yasso co-founder Drew Harrington told BizWest. “The natural and organic food industry started there for all intents and purposes.”
Half of the roughly 35-member team is already in Boulder in temporary office space, and the rest of the workforce will move to the new, approximately 10,000-square-foot headquarters at 1050 Walnut St. between now and early 2020.

Over the next two years, Yasso plans to double its workforce.
“With the growth phase that we have coming up, we felt [moving to Boulder] would give us an opportunity to recruit some really great and talented people in the area,” Harrington said.
The company plans to hire new employees across a variety of departments and positions, including sales, marketing, finance and operations.
In addition to allowing Yasso to tap into the local talent pool, the move to Boulder will help the company diversify its product offerings in the western United States.
“We’re definitely more saturated on the East Coast,” Harrington said. “With the move west, you’ll see a renewed focus on expanding distribution and growing our community involvement in Boulder.”
The move coincides with some changes to Yasso’s leadership team.
Harrington and fellow co-founder and co-CEO Amanda Klane will be handing over day-to-day operations to new CEO Craig Shiesley.
“We’re really excited. Boulder has such a great work-life balance,” Harrington said. “When that can permeate the brand, it does a lot for the energy of our team and the mission we are trying to fulfill.”
