Weplay acquisition a win for TeamSnap

BOULDER – TeamSnap Inc. has acquired the customer base and technology of Weplay, a U.S.-based online sports community and team-management service.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Weplay had 2.25 million customers and 5 million users in 195 countries.

Boulder-based TeamSnap, headed by chief executive Dave DuPont, provides a mobile and web service for managing activities including recreational and competitive sports teams, social groups and other organizations.
