New college graduates with technical skills may find that jobs are plentiful along the Front Range, but for employers trying to hire new graduates, the picture looks entirely different.

Many graduating seniors’ heads will be filled with the hum of “Pomp and Circumstance” in the following weeks. But what are their prospects after marching across the stage at graduation? That greatly depends on the student’s field of study, interests and skills.

For the students in the high-school graduating class of 1999, those prospects are dim if they don’t possess good computer and communication skills or the drive to advance in an entry-level job.
