Northern Colorado Paper purchased by Interline Brands

GREELEY – Northern Colorado Paper Inc. has been purchased by Interline
Brands, based in Jacksonville, Fla., for $9.5 million.

Founded by Tim and Sally Warde in 1978, Northern Colorado Paper has
about 115 employees in Greeley and 20 more in its Pueblo office. The
company plans to remain in Greeley, according to Tim Warde, president.

“This relationship will only enhance our ability to serve our customers
and continue to provide them with the most effective, efficient and
competitively priced products in the industry,” he said. “Our goal is to
have the best of NCP meld with the best of Interline Brands to make us
even more relevant to the customer.”

Northern Colorado Paper is a distributor of paper products, chemicals,
janitorial and food service supplies in Colorado and Wyoming. In 2009,
the company acquired Nelson Office Supply in Greeley, adding office
supplies and furniture to its product lines.

The family-owned business earned a Bravo! Entrepreneur Award from the
Northern Colorado Business Report in 2004.

In a press statement, Michael Grebe, Interline Brands chairman and CEO,
said the acquisition of Northern Colorado Paper was consistent with its
goals of expanding its markets and maintaining a leading presence in the
janitorial-sanitation industry.

“The acquisition of NCP is consistent with our strategy of acquiring
businesses with leadership positions in attractive markets and
complements our recent acquisitions of CleanSource, in particular. This
transaction further enhances our presence and scale in the western
United States and builds in our leading position in the jan-san space,”
Grebe said. “We expect this acquisition to be accretive to earnings in
2011 by $0.01 to $0.02 per share.”

Interline specializes in maintenance, repair and operations products.
