CoCreate Software purchased by HBK Investments
FORT COLLINS – Six years after spinning off from Hewlett Packard Co., CoCreate Software Inc. has a new owner.
The private equity arm of Dallas-based HBK Investments LP purchased complete interest in the software developer. Since the 2000 buyout from HP, investors Triton Fund and 3i Group have held a majority interest in the company.
CoCreate develops product lifecycle management and dynamic modeling applications.
“CoCreate’s first-half performance has been strong, signaling a momentum shift for the company with its innovative approach to 3-D product development and product lifecycle management,´ said CoCreate CEO William Gascoigne in a prepared statement.

CoCreate, co-headquartered in Fort Collins and Sindelfingen, Germany, employs about 70 in its local site. Todd Black, CoCreate spokesman, said there was little other information that could be released at this time, but that there would be additional announcements in the near future. The press release does not indicate if there will be any operational changes made to the company as a result of the acquisition.
