Sample and Bailey being acquired by Fargo firm

FORT COLLINS – Fargo, N.D.-based accounting firm Eide Bailly LLP has acquired Fort Collins-based Sample & Bailey CPAs, effective Aug. 4.
Eide Bailly will now have 1,414 employees and 23 offices in 11 states, including one in Fort Collins and another in Boulder.
The companies have worked together before, according to Roger Sample, founding partner of Sample & Bailey.
“Eide Bailly did our peer review and we have worked together on a few common clients,” Sample said in a release. “This has given us a sense of familiarity, a comfort, with our decision.”
Fort Collins was always an “attractive “market for Eide Bailly, according to Brian Callahan, Eide Bailly partner-in-charge of Colorado, and the area has a good business relationship with Denver.
“These cities play well together because they are home to similar industries and companies,” Callahan said in a release.
