Windsor mayor named to Municipal League board

WINDSOR — Windsor Mayor Julie Cline has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Colorado Municipal League’s executive board.

Cline will fill a vacancy in the board’s “medium municipality” category, which includes cities with populations ranging from 8,000 to 49,999.

The appointment will allow Cline to bring Windsor’s perspective to statewide municipal policy discussions and advocate for local decision-making. It also offers her opportunities to collaborate with municipal leaders across the state on shared challenges.

Founded in 1923, the Colorado Municipal League is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents and serves Colorado’s cities and towns. Its executive board, which made the appointment on Oct. 14, provides policy direction and oversight of the league’s programs and finances.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve Windsor and communities across Colorado on the CML executive board,” Cline said in a prepared statement. “This role is an exciting opportunity to bring our community’s voice to important statewide conversations, learn from other local government leaders and work together to support local decision-making and strong communities.”

To continue serving on the board beyond the appointment’s term, Cline will need to run for election June 24 at the league’s annual conference in Keystone.
