UCHealth awards $20,000 to Estes Park nonprofits
ESTES PARK — UCHealth has awarded $20,000 to four Estes Park nonprofits that support residents in need, as well as health and well-being initiatives.
Recipients include:
• Crossroads Ministry, a human services agency that assists residents with basic needs and wraparound services.
• The Bridge of Estes, a nonprofit assisting cancer patients with wellness services.
• Harmony Foundation, a live-in recovery center that helps people overcome substance abuse.
• Estes Dementia Day Center, a new nonprofit in Estes Park that helps patients and families who are affected by dementia.
“The funds represent our dedication to the Estes Valley community and the nonprofits that serve the needs of its residents,” Vern Carda, president of UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center, said in a prepared statement. “These grants are more than funding; they represent investments in stability, long-term wellness and opportunities for individuals and families throughout the community.”
The funds will be used to create programs for children in Estes Park, improve access to essential services, support behavioral health in the Estes Valley, and strengthen programs that provide assistance for rent, food and healthcare services.
UCHealth has awarded grants to 76 nonprofit organizations across Colorado this year, supporting programs that deliver essential services and address factors that shape health outcomes.
