Doc-processing platform ParaScript acquired for $63M
BOULDER — Parascript LLC, a Boulder-based check-fraud and document-automation software company, was recently acquired by Stakk Ltd. (ASX: SKK) for $63 million.
Stakk is an Australian company that develops technology infrastructure to help regulated industries fight fraud.
“Stakk acquired ParaScript for its industry-leading AI-powered document processing and recognition technology, which uses advanced machine learning to process large volumes of documents with high speed and accuracy, helping organizations detect fraud earlier, prevent losses and improve outcomes,” the companies said in a news release.
Emiliano Giacchetti, who was hired as ParaScript CEO in 2024, is expected to assume the role of Stakk’s group CEO, pending shareholder approval.
“Stakk and ParaScript have come together around a clear and urgent global requirement: helping highly regulated organizations properly vet digital interactions, identities and documents,” Giacchetti in the release. “The combined group has the technology, intelligence, enterprise relationships and international reach required to address that challenge at scale. It also has a substantial contracted revenue base and a clear pathway to deliver the financial commitments made to shareholders.”
