Estes’ Stanley carousel set to open soon
ESTES PARK — Workers are putting the final touches on a custom-built 28-foot carousel inside a hexagon-shaped building adjoining the F.O. Stanley Chocolate Factory in downtown Estes Park, and the attraction may be open by Labor Day or even sooner.
According to the Estes Valley Voice, the attraction, featuring 18 carved figures and a chariot on which children can ride year round, is part of the chocolate factory, a business owned by former Stanley Hotel owner John Cullen and housed in a building purchased in April by Boulder developer Stephen Tebo.
