BizWest launches on Apple News
BizWest has expanded its digital news network, launching on Apple News, the tech giant’s free news-aggregation site.
Readers can follow BizWest via the Apple News app on iPhones, iPods or Macs, with content curated by the publication’s editorial team.
Apple News reaches about 125 million people each month in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia combined, with expansion planned to other countries.
BizWest provides daily business news and economic analysis for the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado, including Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties, plus Brighton and Westminster. News is delivered online, in print and via twice-daily and weekly newsletters.
The publication provides a mix of content both in front of and behind a paywall, and some paywalled content will be curated to appear in the Apple News app for free viewing.
“Expanding our audience remains one of BizWest’s top priorities,” said Christopher Wood, editor and co-publisher of BizWest. “To do that, we’re constantly exploring new ways to reach readers where they are, on whatever platform they prefer. Our hope is that readers who find us via Apple News will realize the value of our content and engage with us via subscribing, advertising, providing news tips or attending our many events.”
BizWest was one of 150 U.S. publications to launch on Google News Showcase in 2023, with content curated twice daily, 365 days a year, by BizWest’s editorial team. Readers who follow the publication on Google News can log in with their Gmail accounts and view a limited number of articles per month.
The publication also engages with readers via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Bluesky.
Beyond social media and the internet, Wood is featured every Tuesday morning on KFKA-AM 1310 and Monday evenings on KUNC-FM 91.5.
