Berthoud invites residents to shop local with gift card giveaway
BERTHOUD — Residents of the Town of Berthoud can win a variety of gift cards this holiday season through the town’s “shop local” program. The town is promoting a contest by which shoppers of local businesses write their names and phone numbers on their receipts over $10 from Nov. 20 to Dec. 21, which will earn them the chance to win a $75 gift card or a $500 gift basket, according to a news release.
Customers can drop off their receipts the outdoor utility drop box at Town Hall, the drop box located at the front desk of Town Hall, or the Berthoud Recreation Center. Each entered receipt qualifies people for a weekly gift card drawing, the release stated.
“We truly value our business community, and we’re excited to continue the Shop Local Program each year,” says Town Administrator Chris Kirk, in the news release. “This initiative allows us to support our local businesses through gift card purchases, and we hope it encourages others to explore and maybe find new favorite shops.”
Drawings will occur on Dec. 8, 15, and 22, with winners notified by 5 p.m. each Monday, the release said. The $500 gift basket drawing will be drawn from all eligible entries on Dec. 22. For more information, go to Berthoud.org/ShopLocal for complete rules.
