ABC Supply Co. opens new facility in Greeley

GREELEY — Greeley has gained another retailer that will be a part of the city’s burgeoning residential construction industry in the coming years.

ABC Supply Co. Inc., founded in 1982 in Wisconsin, has opened a new facility at 401 17th St., on Greeley’s east side. ABC Supply is a privately held wholesale distributor of roofing supplies, with 970 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

“With Greeley hitting the size of population it has and with the next 10 years of residential development happening in Greeley, ABC Supply decided they needed a Greeley facility,” said Brian Smerud of Fort Collins-based Waypoint Real Estate LLC, who represented  property owners, Richmark Real Estate Partners LLC.

The facility and storage yard was previously occupied by Covenant Testing Technologies, a Texas-based oil and gas support company, for close to nine months, Richmark president Adam Frazier said. Covenant has since changed its name to One X Completion Partners, which appears to have moved to a new location in Greeley.

ABC Supply signed a long-term lease on the 32,225-square-foot building and 5.5-acre property that Richmark has owned since 2010.

“We are thrilled to welcome ABC Supply to Greeley as a valued tenant,” Tyler Richardson, principal at Richmark, said in a news release. “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to bringing national businesses to the communities we serve, enhancing local communities we serve, enhancing local economies and fostering growth.  At Richmark, our mission is rooted in executing quality projects that uplift and enrich the neighborhoods we operate in, and this collaboration with ABC Supply is a significant step forward in fulfilling that vision.”

ABC Supply locations sell exterior building products, including roofing materials, siding, windows, gutters and renewable energy products, as well as accessories and tools, according to its website. The company is owned by the original family ownership and reports one of its chief priorities is to give back to communities in which they locate.

Smerud and Erik Caffee of Waypoint Real Estate represented Richmark.

“ABC Supply is a major employer and will be a strong economic addition to Greeley that will provide good, high paying jobs,” Smerud said in the release.   Jared Goodman of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
