IntelliProp hires industry vet, entrepreneur as CEO

LONGMONT — IntelliProp Inc., a company that helps datacenters improve performance and efficiency and reduce costs, has hired John Spiers as its CEO.

Spiers succeeds IP co-founder Hiren Patel, who will move into the chief technology officer role.

“We are thrilled to have John at the helm as we take the next step in our technology innovation and growth trajectory,” Patel said in a prepared statement. “He recognizes the immense potential of [computer express link technology] to boost performance, efficiency and sustainability while reducing overall system cost — and his technology expertise, tenacity and business acumen will be extremely valuable in driving our strategy forward.”

Spiers’ resume includes co-founder and chief technology officer roles at data-storage company LeftHand Networks Inc., which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ), and leadership roles across engineering, marketing, sales, and strategy for IT infrastructure providers, including Sandisk, Pivot3 and Liqid, according to a IntelliProp news release.
