Sterling body shop to host car show benefiting Weld Food Bank

MILLIKEN — The Front Range is set to host the Rockin’ Rods and Custom Rides car show benefiting the Weld Food Bank July 10. Sterling Rod and Custom LLC will host the show at the Milliken location of Nature’s Herbs & Wellness. 

Attendees are encouraged to donate canned goods and participate in the event’s raffle. Competing car owners will have the opportunity to win prizes for best in show and best pin-up model. 

Weld Food Bank communications manager Weston Edmunds spoke to the organization’s gratitude at being selected as the beneficiary of the event.

“The support from this event will provide more than just money and cans of food; it will be putting meals on the tables of our hungry neighbors,” Edmunds said in a statement.

Sterling Rod and Custom owner Eric Leskinen expressed his excitement in bringing more attention to the food bank through classic cars.

“There’s nothing better than putting classic cars in front of hundreds of eyes while also benefiting a local organization like the Weld Food Bank,” Leskinen said.The event will start at 10 a.m. July 10 at 3220 Center Drive in Milliken.
