Boulder approves solar energy leases

BOULDER — The Boulder City Council has approved lease sites for 14 solar installations.

Unico Solar Investors sought the lease agreements with the city, all on city property, according to a report in the Boulder Camera.

The city will buy the solar-generated power from Unico in order to reduce what it buys from Xcel Energy.
