Catapult Outdoor Accelerator announces cohort

BOULDER — Four outdoor companies have been selected to participate in the first cohort of the Catapult Outdoor Accelerator.

The accelerator is a collaboration between the Outdoor Industry Association, Moosejaw Mountaineering, Active Interest Media and Outdoor Retailer. The companies partnered with IceLab @ Western, which will handle programming.

The four companies are:

  • Gearo, a Denver-based company building a robust digital marketplace where outdoor enthusiasts can book and rent gear from outdoor retailers.
  • Revel Gear, a Boulder-based company creating ambient lighting for camping using solar power.
  • Geyser, an Austin-based company that makes a water-efficient hot shower system for campers.
  • Hustle Bike, which is making a new bike pedal with a patent-pending magnetic system to create better contact between shoe and pedal.

The 12-week program takes place in Boulder, Crested Butte and Gunnison. The accelerator does not take any equity from the companies, but does have the companies present at 2019 Boulder Startup Week. Members of the program also get free exhibitor space at the June 2019 Outdoor Retailer trade show.

The program runs from March 25 to June 17.
