Durango Brewing Co. closes, moves to LaJunta

DURANGO — Durango Brewing Co. has closed its taproom and moved to LaJunta — bringing it’s Durango name with it.

The Durango Herald reported that the company laid off all its local employees in an abrupt move. Employees said they were not given the opportunity to move with the company.

The brewery was the city’s second oldest and the state’s third oldest microbrewery, founded in 1990.
