Foothills United Way awards ‘Community Resilience Grants’

LAFAYETTE — Foothills United Way has awarded five Community Resilience Grants to help fund projects in Boulder and Broomfield counties to help create a community that is able to withstand and recover from any type of community setback.

Community Resilience Grants are awarded to support projects that address family emergencies or communitywide disasters.

“A resilient community has strong relationships among individuals, neighbors and organizations with nearby places to turn for help. We want all residents of Boulder and Broomfield counties to know where to turn when they are facing hardship,” Foothills United Way president and CEO Doug Yeiser said in a prepared statement. “Resilience grants are building reliable solutions close to home so Boulder and Broomfield residents can help one another.”
