2 Boulder arts groups battling over term ‘open studio’
A pair of arts groups in Boulder are embroiled in a legal dispute over which has the right to use the term “open studio.”
The Camera reports that nonprofit Open Studios Inc. and the Boulder Metalsmith Association could finalize a settlement by the end of this month that would allow the BOMA to use the term in lower case, “and in digital and print advertising to describe events that are open to the public. Open Studios sued BOMA in August.
