The record crowds that swarmed Rocky Mountain National Park during its centennial year in 2015 have returned in 2016. And they brought friends.
The Coloradoan reports that RMNP’s visitation through August stood at 3.15 million, a 7.8 percent increase from the same point last year when the park ended up drawing 4.15 million visitors in all. July, with 912,507 visitors this year, marked the busiest month in park history.
