Loveland city council ousts city manager Bill Cahill

The city of Loveland is in the market for a new city manager after the city council voted in the early hours of Wednesday morning to fire Bill Cahill.

The Reporter-Herald reports that council’s vote was unanimous and came after a long closed-door session during Tuesday night’s city council meeting to discuss performance evaluations of Cahill and other employees. Little reason for the decision was disclosed, though the paper reports that councilors did note in a statement that the decision to fire Cahill was not for cause. Cahill’s last day will be June 30.
